The Kia K4 has now landed in Australia as the new successor to the long-running and very popular Cerato range, coming in with a new design language that is quite futuristic. Available in both sedan and hatchback body types, it packs a radical styling change with hidden rear door handles and a wider, lower-to-the-ground, planted look. It brings a small car and a sportier coupe into one.
Inside, the K4 is a big step forward in tech. The cabin has a panoramic screen that integrates a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen into one. There is also a quirky two-spoke steering wheel and a minimalist dashboard, making a modern, tech-focused space that feels much more premium than the Cerato.
Even though it's small in size, the K4 has grown in almost every dimension to make it have loads of space inside. Back seat passengers can also make the most of improved legroom, while the sedan has a good-sized 508 litre boot. The K4 is a good match for those who aren't yet ready to move up to bigger, more expensive SUVs.
